First time trying their beef patties
Let me say you will not be dissatisfied
Patties are crispy on the outside and full of flavor on the inside. Extremely delicious
I will definitely come back for more!!!!! -

For my money, the best Jamaican food in LA --I've been to five other places and Hungry Joe's is the best.
Recommendations:
-Fried Chicken. Always good and comes with this sweet and spicy red sauce. I recommend asking for extra cause it makes the peas and rice taste better.
-Ox Tail. Always done right.
-Jerk Pork. This is smoked so has a ton of flavor.
-Hamburger Combo. They have a really good burger for $6
-Soursop Juice. Really expensive at $5 for large but a really good drink.
-Porridge and fried dumplings. They have 5 different daily versions with the peanut and cornmeal being the best to me.
I have to take a star away as during the lunch to dinner hours you're going to wait 10-30 minutes for your order even if you call in. -

Love... love... love this place!
Side of oxtails on the left and large plate jerk chicken (dark meat and extra "gravy") on the right. The food is amazing and the staff are always very friendly! -

This is definitely authentic Jamaican food! I ordered the small Oxtail plate and Beef Patti. Food was really good and service was fast. There was a lot of meat on my oxtails, which doesn't happen all the time depending on where you go. And if you've purchased Jamaican food in LA before, you'll know it can be expensive. But I felt their prices were similar to others JM restaurants in the city, but the food at this spot tastes a lot better!

Food is amazing, authentic and flavorful. I took a friend of mine to have him try Jamaican food for the first time and he couldn't believe how good the food was. Now I take everybody there.
